Baden-Wuerttemberg:
a global player at the heart of Europe

Baden-Wuerttemberg, a German state located in the southwestern part of the country, is one of Europe`s leading destination for business and science. A place where developing markets can find solutions to the challenges they face. Baden-Wuerttemberg's economic strength and innovative services have an excellent reputation. As the birthplace of Germany's automobile industry, the state still plays a central role in the production of automobiles and other machinery. Baden-Wuerttemberg is known for its superior infrastructure and technical services, as demonstrated by a few simple statistics: Baden-Wuerttemberg has a per capita GDP of more than EUR 32,000 - a level far above the EU average, and even surpassing France and Great Britain. Moreover, the state has a strong foundation for further growth: Baden-Wuerttemberg is already Germany's leading location for important industries of the future such as medical technology and energy efficiency.
